Nursery rhymes and children’s songs have a great impact on a little learner’s literacy and language development.

Children loves rhyme, rhythm and repetition, which are generally found in the nursery rhymes. These three things have proven to enhance the kid’s language and literacy skills.

Alteration in vocal tones and variations are always loved by the children. This help them to know about natural sound of a language. Spend a time singing rhymes to your child and encourage them to join you. Giving the child a sense of joy about language will certainly boost their interest to read and write.

Through rhymes, kids are introduced to new words. This adds new words to their vocabulary. Also, they can learn how sounds blend together to form a word. This will help them in playing with words. You can also use some beautiful images and perform actions. Encourage your kid to involve in singing.
